Blog is not new to everyone anymore. The best part of blog compare to normal website is that you can leave comment at blog while normal website seldom has that function. Social networking is important nowadays. And blog is a great social networking tool.
What I will do whenever I visit other’s blog is to leave a comment. By doing so, the author of the blog will know that you came and visited his blog. In return, he might visit your blog. And some of his blog readers might do the same too. Isn’t it great? This is called blog hopping too. I usually do that during weekend when I have pretty of free time. Reading other’s blog for new information, latest story or anything that catch my eyes.
On the other hand, your blog must have the function to leave comment too. Better if no registration is required. I don’t like to register at blog in order to leave comment. I will pass that blog. Some of the readers like me will also do the same. Therefore, make sure that no registration is required when leave comment at your blog. This will surely improve your blog comment count.

You need to post something that attracts those Nuffnangers. Else nobody will look at your post at all. Anyway, the purpose that I posted there was to attract Advertlets’ CEO, Josh Lim himself to pay my long awaited cheques. And inform others to beware of Advertlets. Finally, I got my cheques in the end. Thanks to Innit by Nuffnang.
Besides, the website traffic also hit historical high during that time. I have 292 visits on that particular day. Not bad for a new site. For your info, Make Money has around 20 visits per day. 292 visits are almost 1500% more than normal daily hits.

Do you know how your Google AdSense ad units performance? Can you identify on individual ad unit or just a total of all the ad units? Well, some of us did not care with it at all. All they need to know that Google AdSense is bringing earning to them. That’s fine. However, with little tweak on channel setting. You can actually earn more. How?
I am also like the other beginner too. No channel for me. However, my Google AdSense earning really improve after set channel on the ad units. Of course, by setting the channel won’t help improve the income directly. However, with channel, you can track your individual ad unit performance. Then, with better ad unit placement. Your Google AdSense will surely improve.
I have several channels to track all the ad units’ performance. There are some of them…

Choose the correct name for them. So that you will easily know which one is the correct channel. For example, I have 2 Large Rectangle ad units at JayceOoi.com. I name them Large Rectangle - top and Large Rectangle - post. Large Rectangle - top is the ad unit placed right after the post title and before content. On the other hand, Large Rectangle - post is placed after the content and before the comment. (forum) means my forum website. And (MM) means this Make Money website.

Google AdSense is using pay per click (PPC) method. Therefore, it is required to place the Ad units at the right place at your website. Else nobody or less people will click on your Ads. So how are we going to know which place is the best place? Practice make perfect… Just try placing the ad units at several places. Changing them after few weeks. Don’t be afraid to play around. You will know the highest pay rate place at your website after few months.
For example, my website - JayceOoi.com has a good ad unit spot - Large Rectangle - top. It contributes most of the income for Google AdSense. It has around 1.2% click through rate (CTR) while other ads only have around 0.2% to 0.4% CTR. I only started to put there after months of serving Google AdSense. Anyway, it is not too late for me and you. Just change to the correct place to gain more earning.
Example below is the Large Rectangle - top that I was taking about…

Here are the things you need to do.
1. Get a good layout that suits you.
2. Place the ad units at the right places.
3. Change around the ad units’ placement until you get a good earning spot.
4. Don’t be afraid to play around.
